Warm
if not hot weather greeted the many who came to this year's Doxey Day
organised by Doxey Parish Council (and the usual suspects !). There
were many attractions providing fun and food as well as stands -
including those from : - British Legion - Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Services - Staffordshire County Youth Services - St John's Ambulance - Connexions - Staffordshire Police (apologies for any missed out)
An entertaining day - thanks to all those who worked to make it a success.
...a most important part of the
proceedings was the (now traditional !!) football match between Doxey
and the Police. Smarting from last year's defeat the Police managed to
win 4-2 to win the 'Doxey Parish Council Shield' now on display at the Universal Club - until Doxey win it back next year !
