Governors have an important role to play in raising school standards through three key roles of setting strategic direction, ensuring accountability, and monitoring and evaluating school performance. Community governors are people from the School's community who would like to make a positive contribution to children's education. You don’t need any special expertise. Training will be provided. You just need to represent the Doxey community. There are currently two vacancies for governors at Doxey Primary and Nursery School. The role involves two or three late afternoon meetings each term, as well as some occasional visits to see the school at work. If you would like to be considered please write to: Mrs Su Plant, Headteacher Doxey Primary and Nursery School, Stafford, ST16 1EG If you would like to speak to someone about being a governor before making a decision, call Stephen on 251622.
