All agreed that minutes from last meeting trustee’s meeting held on Wednesday 7th March ’12 where a true and accurate record of meeting.
Another meeting has been scheduled for 25th April ’12 @ 7pm, Gill’s house. Jane Essex, Rob Belcher, Sally Hems and Paul Firman to be informed of planned meeting.
Mark has received a letter informing us that the DCA’s Public Liability insurance, for £245, is due for renewal. All agreed that it should be paid.
Clear Out Day
The event has been planned for Sunday 13th May ’12. Mike will check the availability with the Church and confirm. Iain suggested that it could be advertised at the Plant Sale. Mike will be putting up posters in the shops, school, hair dressers, church and notice boards.
The Plant sale will be taking place on Saturday 12th May ’12 from 10am until 12noon, outside the Church. Mark encouraged the meeting to ask neighbours, family and friends for donations of plants and cakes.
The AGM is on Wednesday 9th May ’12, 7.30pm, in the Church hall. Iain has very kindly invited for Chris Copp from Shugborough Hall Museum to do a half an hour presentation about Stafford’s history of Industry. Iain has also arranged for the exhibition of the Universals history to be open to the public in the Church from 4pm onwards. This will include display boards, photos, retirement books and a twenty minute video.
Queen’s Jubilee Celebrations
The fun day will be taking place on Monday 4th June ’12. Anita has written to the Parish Council requesting funding towards some of the entertainment including a mini farm, face painter, balloon modeller and punch and Judy. A well wisher has kindly donated £110 to put towards prizes for the day. The DCA are going to run several small stalls. David, Isabelle and Sally offered to organise the tombola.
Mikron has approached Jane about performing both of their new shows in one weekend. It is proposed that the DCA pay for one performance, £250, and the other is paid for by private contributions. It has been suggested that this could take place the second weekend in September. To be discussed further at next meeting.
Bradbury Stores have approached that Parish Council with the proposal of extending the shop so that it can include a post office again. They have made on previous application to the postal board and it was rejected but they are hopeful with the Parish Council’s support they maybe successful.
A publication is to be sent out at the end of May. A welcoming issue has been delivered to the new Redrow Estate.
