The Doxey Times has now been distributed.
Aston Bank Farm has advertised in the Times and reported that interest and sales have increased.
No meeting has taken place since the last meeting.
No financial report was requested for this meeting. Anita to contact Rob regarding having a full financial report for the AGM.
The public liability insurance has been paid.
Gill has given Rob the remaining receipts from the senior citizens Christmas party for approximately £96.
The AGM is taking place on Wednesday 15th June ’11. Gill and Sally have volunteered to do the refreshments.
Anita is to request a short Chairs report from Denise and also that she contacts Joan Harvey and gets a copy of the last years AGM meeting minutes.
Anita too confirm with Neil Thomas if he is able to do the presentation in Iain’s absence.
Clear Out Day
This will be taking place on Sunday 15th May ’11, 1.30pm until 3pm. Mike has now displayed posters.
The wet weather plan is to use the church hall.
Gill has been spreading the word among the parents at the primary school and will be contacting Annabelle Tarpley regarding arranging a tip run.
Paul Firman maybe interested in taking any remaining items for charity.
Gill has received an email from Denise regarding the craft circle. At present six people have expressed a keen interest in taking part in the group. Denise is going to wait a further fortnight before making plans for an initial meeting.
It was suggested that Doxey would benefit from basic computer skills courses taking place within the community. A general discussion followed regarding this. It was agreed that Age UK and Stafford Adult and Community Learners would be approached in connection with this.
Items to be included; DCA AGM, Play Space 4 Doxey Questioner, Cycle Awareness (article to be requested from PCSO Helen Clark), Coffee Morning and Parish Council meeting date/time.
Nothing to report at this meeting.
It was suggested that the association becomes part of Purple Pages to help enhance community development and make use of the free advertising! Denise is happy to complete the relevant registration paperwork.
