| On Sunday 28th October nearly 100
Doxey residents past and present gathered in the Church Hall to meet and
talk with old friends and, hopefully, new ones as well.
The reunion was organised by Ray Spurway and was
supported by many friends and their families. Eileen Skelton's extensive
collection of Doxey memorabilia was admired and she was able to obtain a
number of new items. Also on display were
photos taken in 1989 by Chris Ball of
the 'old' Doxey estate prior to redevelopment.
It is hoped that the event can be repeated when we
will have some provision to copy documents and photographs.
