Football Field in 'Private Eye'
|
||
(April 2011) What are we doing ?We have had our first meetings and earlier we met with our MP - Jeremy Lefroy and showed him the problem. He saw the existing playing field off Greensome Close and appreciated the problems in its use. He also looked at our current, threatened, football pitch and the disputed footpaths.We were invited to attend a meeting with the leaders and officers of Borough Council and our MP which was arranged by our local councillors and the parish council. We were generally very pleased with the outcome and hope that the football pitch can be saved and that any future residential development will include substantial recreational provisions. We have issued a number of press releases, details from which have appeared in the local papers and on Radio Stoke. We are asking all candidates in May's elections to support aaa |
